Description :When our Lord declared His assignment to set the captives free, it sounded like something too good to be true. He spoke words of truth in the midst of opposing facts. When Satan tried to tempt Him to act independently of the Father, Jesus upheld His integrity, resisted the devil, and passed the test that launched Him into His purpose. From Luke 4:15-19 and Isaiah 49:8-10, Bishop McLaughlin reminded us that, while God is grooming us for greatness, our adversary is trying to kill what He wants to prosper. But when we survive his attacks, we grow stronger, which confounds and infuriates the enemy. By proclaiming the acceptable year of the Lord, Jesus was announcing an inappropriate, appropriate time when the blessings of the Lord will overtake us. This personal year of jubilee is our window of opportunity to have debts released, bondages set free, and reputations restored. As God uses us as a testimony of His grace, He will fill our hunger, quench our thirst, and bless us beyond our wildest dreams!!!
